Employees and their families have contributed more than $58,000 at this year’s events
(UNIONDALE, N.Y. – Oct. 19, 2023) Dozens of PSEG Long Island employees, their family members and friends took to Jones Beach State Park and Riverhead’s Grangebel Park this fall to fight breast cancer. As a flagship sponsor of Long Island’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks, PSEG Long Island, its employees and their families have raised more than $639,000 over the last decade to support this event.
On Sunday, Oct. 15, 120 walkers – members of Team PSEG Long Island – raised funds, celebrated survivors and increased awareness about breast cancer by walking in the annual event at Jones Beach. Another Making Strides event in Riverhead also brought out dozens of PSEG Long Island breast cancer fighters last month.
This year, PSEG Long Island and its nearly 20 teams raised more than $58,000 for the cause – and this figure does not yet include monies that will be added through the PSEG Foundation’s matching gifts program through the end of the year.
