Hauppauge’s Thomas Primrose of Team PSEG Long Island Takes Third Place at Marcum Workplace Challenge

PSEG Long Island employee Thomas Primrose of Hauppauge, was the third-fastest overall runner at the 2024 Marcum Workplace Challenge. 

(UNIONDALE, N.Y. – Aug. 26, 2024) With a time of 19:11, Thomas Primrose of Hauppauge was the third fastest finisher at the 3.5-mile Marcum Workplace Challenge at Jones Beach last month. This is the third year Primrose has participated in the Marcum race and the first time he’s placed in the top three.

Primrose is a staff engineer in PSEG Long Island’s Resource Planning department, where he works to ensure electricity generation and transmission plans serve customer load reliably in the immediate and distant future.

In addition to the individual awards, PSEG Long Island proudly accepted two prestigious corporate awards the Beneficiary Fund Challenge Award for top fundraising team and Greatest Participation Award for most attendees.

The Marcum Workplace Challenge is an annual 3.5-mile charity run/walk benefiting the Children's Medical Fund of New York, Long Island Cares, Inc. – The Harry Chapin Food Bank, Nassau County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and The Long Island Children's Museum. PSEG Long Island supports events like this throughout the year. Community service is important to employees and one of PSEG Long Island’s core commitments.
