Cut Energy Costs with PSEG Long Island’s Free Assessment Tools

Climate Week is Sept. 22-29 – learn how to help save energy, money and the environment

(UNIONDALE, N.Y. – Sept. 17, 2024) In advance of Climate Week (Sept. 22-29), PSEG Long Island reminds customers of several tools offered to conserve energy and save money that can also help the environment.

PSEG Long Island’s MySmartEnergy analyzer is an online tool available to customers with an online account at psegliny.com or through the PSEG Long Island app. By logging into their account, registered customers can review their home’s energy usage by the hour, day, week, month and year, and can use the information to identify where they can make adjustments to save money and energy. Customers can also compare their home’s heating and cooling costs with PSEG Long Island’s Heating Comparison Calculator. 

PSEG Long Island’s Home Energy Assessment is a comprehensive in-home evaluation of a home’s energy use, heating and cooling, weatherization and air quality. A PSEG Long Island-approved contractor conducts the in-home assessment and will offer energy efficiency steps to reduce energy costs, rebates and incentives to help offset the cost of home improvements, and low-interest loans that may be available to help pay for projects. 

My Smart Energy Home is a fun, interactive online tool offered by PSEG Long Island for adults and children. Users can navigate around the rooms of a virtual home to visualize potential energy savings and usage; and is a great way to teach kids about energy conservation.
