2020 Bulk Energy Storage RFI
On March 3, 2020, PSEG Long Island, as agent of and acting on behalf of LIPA, issued a Request for Information (RFI) to entities experienced in developing, financing, and operating energy storage resources. The RFI will assist PSEG Long Island in developing an RFP for bulk energy storage resources that will be interconnected to the Long Island electric grid. It is expected that the Bulk Energy Storage RFP will have a goal to obtain between 155 MW and 175 MW.

Update as of February 1, 2021: Due to unexpected delays caused by COVID-19 and other issues, the Bulk Energy Storage RFP, which was originally expected to be issued in late 2020, is now expected to be issued in April of 2021. We appreciate the enthusiastic response that we have received to our RFI, and we look forward to your participation in our RFP.
