LIPA Solar RFP
On April 22, 2008, LIPA issued an RFP (“Solar RFP” or “LIPA Solar RFP”) for 50 MW or more of Capacity, Energy, and Renewable Energy Credits from solar photovoltaic generating facilities located at non-residential customer sites in LIPA’s service territory. This procurement targeted resources with a minimum nameplate capacity of 100 kW per site or 500 kW in aggregate. Successful bidders would enter a 20-year PPA with LIPA.
