Guidelines to Ensure Electrical Compliance, Safety, and Reliability
Electrical Inspection Certificates
PSEG Long Island requires that our customers provide proof that their wiring is safe before we connect service. We recommend applying for service and inspection prior to starting a project. We reserve the right to challenge inspections should our personnel identify issues with the installation prior to energizing. We require an electrical inspection:
- When service wiring is increased or extended.
- When service sizes change or load is added.
- After major service construction/replacement work.
- For all fire reconnects.
