Power On Projects

PSEG Long Island is committed to strengthening the electric infrastructure and improving reliability and will be continuing to storm harden the system. Power On will focus on mainline circuits, the backbone of PSEG Long Island’s distribution system. The mainlines feed the many branch lines that power the homes and businesses in your community.

The following project has been completed.

Crews will be working on about 4.28 miles of the mainline on the following streets.

Northern Zone
Childs Avenue between Atlantic Avenue and Floral Boulevard
Floral Boulevard between Daisy Avenue and Childs Avenue
Daisy Avenue between Floral Boulevard and Calla Avenue
Zinnia Street between Calla Avenue and Plainfield Avenue
Plainfield Avenue between Clarence Street and just north of Hempstead Turnpike (NY-24)
Chelsea Street between Plainfield Avenue and Carnegie Avenue
Elmont Road between the intersection with Plainfield Avenue and Hempstead Turnpike (NY-24)

Southern Zone
Hempstead Turnpike (NY-24) between Sterling Road and just east of Holland Avenue
Rear property between Sterling Road and Warwick Road between Hempstead Turnpike (NY-24) and Hathaway Avenue
Hathaway Avenue between Sussex Road and Warwick Road
Len Road between Hathaway Avenue and to just east of intersection of Ludlam Avenue
Frederick Avenue between Chelsea Street and Makofske Avenue
Makofske Avenue between Frederick Avenue and Hempstead Turnpike (NY-24)
