The Community Thrive program provides funding up to $10,000 to the following types of 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) organizations: Chamber of Commerce, Business Improvement District, and Civic Association.

Reimbursements Available
Maximum award cap in any program year will be up to $10,000 for any Chamber, BID or Civic Association. Awards in a community identified as a Disadvantaged Community (DAC) as per NYSERDA may receive an extra 10% bonus.
Qualified Reimbursements
A list of qualified reimbursements is posted below. Custom projects may be submitted and will be reviewed by the committee. Formal written estimates must be submitted for all items with application.

- Public Art: Murals, Sculptures, and Painted Flowerpots

- "Welcome To” Signs

Please see the following regulations:
- Any award provided may only be used by the recipient for the stated and approved use. PSEG Long Island reserves the right to withhold the award if the substance of the project changes or the requirements of the program are not met.
- Maximum award cap in any program year will be up to $10,000 for any Chamber, BID or Civic Association. - Applicant agrees to participate in PSEG Long Island marketing and promotional activities related to any award provided for a period of up to two (2) years after issuance of final award payment. PSEG Long Island to be included in ribbon-cutting events/community photos. Chamber or Association to tag #PSEGLI and #BusinessFirst in social media in reference to assistance provided by PSEG Long Island.
- Applicant agrees to provide economic information to PSEG Long Island or its approved agent in order to verify the economic benefit of the award for a period of two (2) years after issuance of the final award payment.
- Award recipients will be responsible for accurately and appropriately accounting for any awards and resulting tax implications. Applicants should consult with an accountant prior to submitting their application.
- PSEG Long Island makes no warranty, guarantee, or representation, express or implied, with regard to any economic benefits, energy savings, or cost savings that may result from use of this Program’s funds. Award recipient understands and agrees that PSEG Long Island is not liable for any financial losses related to the applicant’s participation in the Program, or if the expected benefits of the project are not achieved.
- In the event that the award recipient utilizes a contractor or other agent to accomplish the project goals, PSEG Long Island makes no warranty, guarantee, or representation, express or implied, with regard to materials or workmanship provided by these agents or contractors, nor the costs charged by the agent or contractor.
- PSEG Long Island will conduct pre-inspection and post-inspection of site associated with project.
- Reimbursement will be for materials only, not labor costs.
- Awards will be paid by PSEG Long Island upon completion of pre-approved project.
- This program may be suspended without notice at any time.

- Application must be associated with specific, well-defined projects and include estimate of all associated items in the project.
- Submittals are subject to PSEG Long Island committee review based on community impact.
- Program application approval is not guaranteed.
- Applications must be submitted for pre-approval prior to purchasing materials or starting a project.
- Proper proof of spending including receipts and/or paid invoices must be provided.
- Purchases must be made by Applicant (Chamber/BID/Civic).
- PSEG Long Island retains the sole right to select awardees and determine award amounts.
