PSEG Long Island Celebrates Its First Responders on National Lineworker Appreciation Day – April 18, 2022
(UNIONDALE, N.Y. — April 18, 2022) In honor of National Lineworker Appreciation Day, April 18, PSEG Long Island thanks all of its electric workers for everything they do each day for customers and the community.
“Working with electricity is a demanding job that requires constant attention to safety, whether it’s a blue-sky day or the aftermath of a major storm,” said Michael Sullivan, PSEG Long Island’s vice president of Transmission and Distribution. “Our lineworkers, electric service personnel, substation workers, damage assessors and other PSEG Long Island first responders are always at the ready and on the job, sometimes working 16-hour shifts to safely repair the grid and restore service. Thank a lineworker on this Lineworker Appreciation Day — and every day. They deserve it.”
