Eastport/Speonk Conversion & Reinforcement to the Overhead Transmission System

Project Specifics

This project was completed on May 31, 2022.

PSEG Long Island is committed to delivering best-in-class electric reliability and keeping up with load growth throughout the system. The upgrades we are working on are necessary to keep pace with the growing demand for electricity across Long Island. During the next few months, you will see crews working in your area, strengthening the system.

PSEG Long Island will be replacing poles and upgrading overhead lines and equipment to address the increasing load in the area. Older wood utility poles will be replaced with new wood utility poles of similar size.
