PSEG Long Island will be upgrading electrical equipment at the Far Rockaway substation within the existing substation property lines. The project is needed to help support existing and future electrical demand in the area.
Route
The Far Rockaway substation is located on Bay 24th Street north of Mott Avenue in Far Rockaway.
Timeline
Construction is expected to begin in September 2024 and be completed by December 2024.
